I'm off to Lancster Pa for the first annual AQS show, this Tuesday. Hava house rented, with 8 other girls and plan to meet lots more facebook Quilting friends there!!! These are some pics of last year's trip!!!
Well I took a couple of pictures of the two quilts I finished piecing and thought I'd show off a little. this first one is the yellow blocks I had done a couple years for a BOM, as I finished these, I realized this BOM was not for me, and there was now way I would ever finish that pattern, so I decided to use them for something else. What on earth does one do with Yellow and pink blocks???? What was I thinking?? Well I made a few of another block trying to put some pink and yellow fabric together but it was really washed out against the originals...then I found this neat birdie fabric and it was just made for this quilt!!! I just added a border of the lime green and will make the binding in lime green too!! The great thing is my 10 year old granddaughter came into my studio and said..."I love that quilt"...Guess where this quilt will be going next Christmas??
The top scrappy quilt is a little thing I'm making for the local SPCA annual fundraiser, hope to do
Last night I finished piecing my yellow and pink quilt!!! Wait till you see this one!! LOL tonight I pieced a small quilt to donate to our local animal shelter for their annual sale! I just had to come on and tell you about a great giveaway...over at Fresh Cut Quilts. Go and check it out!!!
Just included a little picture of my friends pup, amazing how hey'll do anything to be near us eh??? LOL http://freshcutquilts.blogspot.com/2010/03/spring-activities-giveaway.html
I seem to have more quilts on the design wall than anywhere else. Been out of commission for a few days with those darn migraines!!! Doing a little hand piecing, got the longarm delivered and setup at Irene's! Now have to get ready for the new AQS show in Lancaster PA, in more week! Can't wait!!

I'm so happy with myself!! The little bit of time I'm spending in the studio, I'm actually working on UFOs!!! Today we packed my gammill up to deliver to my Facebook Friend....Irene tomorrow. Its a 4-5 hr drive so will be gone all day!!!I'm going to miss her she's a good and faithful friend but I've got my HQ16 now, so time to send Gammy on to another new longarm quilter.
February was a busy month, olympics and all, I didn't spend much time in the studio. Well finally got in there, having some fun. I got my A Christmas Wish,a free pattern from Gail Pan Designs. It's all finished embroidering and piecing. The colors are very different for Christmas, but I love it. Then I made this bag for the trip to Lancaster next month ,a few of us (Facebook Friends) will be making bags made of this fabric to carry at Lancaster Quilt Show. I made mine extra large to carry lots of goodies from the show. Our winter this year has been non existant but we finally got a little this last week.Seems sfunny to hear all the others places around the states, complaining of all the snow, and here we are, the snow belt and very little to speak of.
Today was our Guild meeting, we had a workshop and then a trunk show with Vicky LaFleur of Trenton Ont. workshop she specializes in 3-D Applique flowers. her quilts are all handquilted and most of her things are tradional. I really enjoyed today!!!
