Well, I just found your blog because I voted for your quilt and wanted to find out more about the woman behind it! No bribery necessary -- yours was hands down my favorite. I'm too late to be in the drawing but the deer fabric probably is Japanese. When my son was born in Japan, 33 years ago, we bought those plastic stickyback things (can't think of the word but you wet them to make them stick) and put them on his cradle.
We weren't authorized a lot of weight to return to the States with, so we had to leave that cradle behind but I do have pictures somewhere.
