O M G >>>>>I just found the most amazing quilter, not one of the celebrities, no just an ordinary quilter like you and me!! I discoverd her in the Quilting Gallery's Weekly contest. The topic this week is "Flying Geese"! I checked out this weeks quilts and I found Her quilt...WOW!!! Her name is Jennifer Wilkins and the name of her quilt is Flying Free. here is what she said about her quilt on the contest page!!
Flying Free
By: Jennifer Wilkins, Australia
Pieced [not applique] from a design by Caryl Bryer Fallert, I used silver & shocking pink lame fabrics to add some extra zing, and am particularly pleased with the quilted swan and embroidered feather designs. Free motion feather quilted by me on a domestic sewing machine. The geese are silver lame.
Quilt size: width: 32" height: 32"
Now can you believe THAT!!!! Quilted on a domestic machine !!!!!!
Anyway she does not have a blog and most people who sign up for this contest , can lobby for their quilt to be voted on , so when I saw this quilt...I just decided I would search for her on Facebook, become her friend and ask if I could lobby for her!!!! I love Curved flying Geese, am planning to take classes to design my own next year with Gail Garber. So please go to Quilting Gallery and vote.... for Flying Free,if you think it's the best! If you comment here and let me know you voted , and sign up as a follower. You will be entered into a giveaway for a cute little surprise!!!

Flying Free is absolutely gorgeous and I definitely voted for her.
Please excuse me from the drawing. Just wanted to say how gorgeous her quilt is.
Wow. What fantastic designing & quilting. Love it. thank you so much for sharing.
I suspect with the new EQ7 swath feature we'll be seeing even more quilts, with beautiful flying geese "flying" in the future. But this quilt is certainly inspiring. I'm very impressed and inspired. Love it.

I agree that it is the best quilt,
- the fact that purple is included in the quilt is quite beside the point.
Congratulations and Well done.
Great quilt, I had to vote for it. Hope it wins. Amazing what some people can do on a domestic machine....I'm so envious.

Jennifer's quilt is terrific and I think the best one there, so I hope she wins. I also think that was a lovely thing for you to go searching for her so you could put the quilt on your blog.
