Modern Quilters...I need your Help Again!!!

I have been asked to make a baby quilt resmbling this photo. It is a nursery rug from a modern company. The rug is $1500.00 !!!!!!
Do you have any suggestions at to a pattern or fabric that would be of help to me?????

Below is a baby quilt I'm working on at the moment. Simple pinwheel in green and white. The frog print is for the backing!!!

I'll be waiting with bated breath to hear from any of my modern quilting blogging friends!!!!

Sorry, I don't have any tips except for the quilt, but what a gorgeous rug! I want a quilt like that also! Looks like a lot of applique!

Check out http://dontlooknow.bigcartel.com/category/quilt-pattern

(not sure if that will be clickable or not). She has some great tree patterns! I'm thinking about Hooty Hoot fabric by Riley Blake Designs.

I know I've seen some trees like this one posted somewhere on flickr or on another blog. I'll keep looking!

Sketch on freezer paper about the size you want it to be, have fun in your stash and then raw edge applique the pieces on a fun background. Just go for ti!

Hi Missy. When does this quilt need to be done? If you need a tree drawn, that looks like that one, I could give it a go when I get back from Burlington. Or do you want a pattern that would look nice WITH it?

It sure looks like a lot of applique, but a variation could be done.
the colours would be easy to pick, it's the simplicity of making a baby quilt which will be washed many times that would be my concern with so much appliqued little fiddly things. having said that and all the applique I did this summer, by machine mind you was really a lot of work. It will be my demise I think sometimes...
I'd pick the tree and make wavy sort of green lines for the grasses. also 365 days of motion quilting has amazing grass stitches.
Geez Ruth, I just wrote a novelette!
